Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is a Group Break?

A group break is a way for collectors to open a box or case of cards without purchasing the entire box themselves. Participants buy spots in the break, and the cards are divided among them based on different break styles.

Types of Breaks

In this break, you choose your team before the break starts. Prices vary depending on the potential value of the team’s hits. Please check the break description for details on which cards will be shipped.

All spots in this break are the same price. Teams are assigned randomly using Random.org before the break begins. Some lower-hit teams may be combined into combo spots.

Instead of picking or getting assigned a single team, participants are assigned a full division (e.g., AL East, NL West, etc.), giving them multiple teams.

Each participant is guaranteed a hit. The hits are listed in a spreadsheet before being assigned randomly using Random.org.

  • Random Hit Draft: All hits are recorded and then assigned randomly.
  • Live Hit Draft: Participants are assigned an order using Random.org and select their hits in that order. Participants must be present or reachable to make their selection.

Each participant is assigned a number. The number corresponds to the first digit of the serial number on the card (e.g., if assigned “7,” you receive cards numbered 7/10, 7/25, etc.).

Customers can purchase a box from our website, and it will be opened live. Please check the product description as some boxes do not include base cards to reduce shipping costs.

Break Rules

Cards go to the team designated on the card. If there is no city or team mentioned but a uniform is depicted, it goes to the team associated with that uniform. If a checklist specifies a team, that overrides any other criteria.

  • If the player is currently in a professional league, the card goes to their pro team.
  • If the player has not yet been assigned to a pro team, it goes to the designated “Non-Professional” spot in the break.

If a card features multiple teams, it is randomized using Random.org. If a participant owns more than 50% of the teams on the card, they win the card automatically.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

All breaks are streamed live, and recordings are uploaded after the break. Participants can watch at any time.

Group breaks are unpredictable, and it is possible to go without getting a hit or any cards. This is part of the risk when participating.
